Saba Rastegar

Saba Rastegar is a graduate of the International Baccalaureate  program at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia and currently a freshman at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She started her piano studies in 1994 and in 1998 joined Golnoush Khaleghi's music studio. Saba has completed advanced studies in music theory and harmony and is currently earning studying piano at George Mason University, under the instruction of Ana Balakerskaia.

In June 2000 she received scholarships from the University of Indiana in Bloomington and the Rouhollah Khaleghi Artistic Center to participate in the summer program of the Indiana University Piano Academy. 2005-2006 will be her sixth year as an assistant teacher at the Khaleghi Piano Studio and her fifth year as a private piano teacher. She plays both classical and Persian music.
